San Francisco is the fourth largest city in California and the twelfth in the US.

WHERE IS SAN FRANCISCO ?
San Francisco is located on a peninsula at the entrance to San Francsico Bay, on the Pacific Ocean. Between San Francisco and Oakland is the Golden Gate Bridge.
WHAT TO SEE ?
Golden Gate is one of the world’s most famous bridges. It leads over the entrance to the bay.
Transamerica Pyramid is a skyscraper in the shape of a pyramid.
North Beach is the city’s Italian quarter. It’s a neighborhood of romantic European-style sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shops.
The city has many cultural attractions, including its Opera House.
At sea near the island of Alcatraz with the most famous American prison, which is now a tourist attraction.
San Francisco’s Chinatown is one of the largest and most famous of all Chinatowns outside of Asia.
Lombard Street is famously known as the “crookedest street in the world”.
Fisherman’s Wharf is one of the most popular tourist attractions in San Francisco. The wharf includes museums, souvenir stores, historical buildings, and the famous sea lions at Pier 39.
Coit Tower gives a great view of the city.
Cable cars run on tracks and are moved by an underground cable on three routes. They have been transporting people around San Francisco since the late 19th century.
